Hello everyone! Its a fabulous day to get back to sharing with you what I've been up to! My current outdoor view is blue skies, and I can see a slight breeze blowing the leaves on these thin tree branches. In a few hours it will be perfect for portraits during the golden hour.
Today I'm sharing professional studio portraits of two fur babies, Yogi and Luna! Miyuki first reached out to me and commented how she favored my style of airy wedding portraits and she wanted to book a session to capture her fur babies. The two yorkies are just too cute! Of course they didn't come in and start smiling, they had to walk around sniff and add a few barks before I could get them to start modeling and showing off their smiles. Fine art pet portraits are rewarding to capture due to the unexpected that can occur during a session. Of course my mindset would be Smile, Stay calm, and snap photos as much as you can. And no erratic movements or the fur babies will get overly excited. We started off capturing the pet portraits with a silver sequin backdrop, then a floral green fabric backdrop, and my absolute favorite is the black backdrop. A black background makes the subject not only stand out but also provides that timeless classic look.
