in studio Flour portraits with nona photography high school senior portraits photos

I love the idea of adding movement to a still photo. And we did just that with these in studio flour portraits. We shot against a Savage Seamless Black background with one studio flash and threw flour into the air. Of course it wasn't the first shot that we got what we wanted. We took a few creative shots and I just love the outcome. The model is Connie my sister visiting from Germany and I wanted to do something different. We just looked in our closets and put together an outfit. 

The flour photo session was a big mess, there was flour everywhere and its nearly impossible to clean! If you're going to try this, be prepared to clean up and sweep the floors numerous times. Next time I'd like to add colored flour for portraits!
