In studio Holiday Session | Christmas Session | Milk and Cookies Holiday Photos | Orlando Holiday Family Photographer | PJ Pajama Mini Holiday Session

Christmas is only 15 days away and we absolutely can't wait to see Santa! We have chocolate chip cookies and milk jugs ready for Santa! This session was taken here in our studio and Sydney picked out these lovely pajamas from The GAP along with the fuzzy brown warm slippers. Having Kai and Kali in the studio was so much fun, they were full of love, fun and laughter.  Seeing the way these two siblings interact with one another overwhelms my heart with so much joy. It makes me think about having a sibling for my little guy!

Holiday Sessions are usually held outdoors, weather permitting. This was taken in the studio. The rustic wood wall was installed by a wonderful carpenter on a weekday at midnight. And it was well worth it!  I love the rustic feel of the wall and the versatile looks it provides.

What Are Holiday Mini Sessions | How to Plan for Holiday Photo Sessions | Holiday Photo Ideas

11/13/2018

The holidays are near with family fun and cheer! We are just a week away from Thanksgiving and 1 month away from Christmas. With the busy holiday season just around the corner, we have a mental checklist to send out Holiday Cards. And the thought of having family photos on the cards comes to mind! What to wear, where to get the photos taken are thoughts that cross your mind. Then contacting your local photographer to find out they are booked with Weddings, Events and Holiday Minis!

Yes, November and December are the busiest months for photographers. We've had families contact us for the most festive holiday portraits and other families contact us for some great modern portraits that can double as a year round family portrait and also be used in Christmas cards.

This year we had some Outdoor Family Mini Sessions at Santa's Christmas Tree Farm  in Eustis, FL.  The Madorin's elected to wear vibrant primary colors red and blue with a hint of cream.

Quinceañera Photo Session | Orlando Quince Photographer | Quince Photo ideas | Kraft Azalea Garden Photo Session

A lot of times when I'm photographing a Quince session, bystanders are in awe of the gorgeous dress. And if its a young girl, she thinks its a Disney princess! A Quinceanera is the celebration of a girls 15th Birthday, highlighting and marking  the transformation to a Woman.

These portrait sessions are becoming more common and the extravagant reception dinners are now substituted for a family vacation or a new vehicle for the birthday girl.

Janel's mom contacted me months before the session to collaborate on a Quinceanera theme. I found out Janel had the rode horses for a few years and had a strong affinity towards  these majestic animals. This gave me an idea! What about a horse photo session? She also wanted to have portraits with lots of greenery and what better place than Kraft Azalea Garden. Janel's dress was customized by Minerva's Bridal, they did an amazing job with the bodice of the dress. It was adorned with gems and sparkled at every angle she turned. I recommended having pictures taken in a casual and then the gown because a horse can be very unpredictable in photos.

Garden of the Gods, Colorado Springs Family Photo Ideas Photographer

In the midst of my daily routine, my sister contacts me and asks me to visit her in Colorado Springs. I thought to myself, wow, I've always wanted to see the mountains and what better reason than to secretly get away with a valid reason! To Colorado Springs within 2 days! I absolutely could not wait for the trip. I purchased a coat with a lining and packed with just a carry on. Half of my suitcase was for my camera equipment.

In Colorado the mountains are an orange clay color. Garden of the Gods is a National Natural Landmark.  I've always had a dream of taking photos with a mountain backdrop. And lucky me, we had a family portrait session at Garden of the Gods.

The Stewarts are just a lovely couple and their children were just full of energy and excited for the photos!

Maternity Session | Outdoor Maternity Photographer | Moss Park Photographer | Lake Nona Photographer | Maternity Photographer

As a photographer in Lake Nona, you must know all the awesome locations for portraits. Taking into consideration the time of the photo session and also the location, Moss Park was perfect! This city park location was ideal with its abundance of pine trees and oak trees that make the perfect lush green backdrop for a photo session. Other than the greenery, deer and sand cranes are often spotted during the day and can also be a great addition to any portrait session. Also, did I mention they have a campground, hiking trails, and water activities as well! With a car packed full of photography equipment and maternity session props, it was time to capture some amazing connections.  I did wish I could have my dog tag along with my photo sessions, but of course it’s not always ideal.

I’m ecstatic to finally share highlights from a photo session for Sam and Atena. They are going to have a princess and currently undecided on a name. This gorgeous couple have been married for two years and just relocated to the area.  Now Lake Nona residents, Atena’s vision was to have a maternity session that was outdoors with a light airy feel. We started off with a dress Atena hand picked and, then she changed into a flowy off-white tulle dress.  Next, a white lace maternity dress, and then a green sheer fabric wrap for the water photos.  I absolutely enjoy customizing portrait/photo sessions for clients to ensure they are going to cherish their photos for a lifetime.

Other than the humidity and slight breeze, the outdoor photo session was outstanding! These two are having so much fun and I had to capture their candid moments. The smiles and joys of being pregnant shared between these two were also transferred to me as the photographer when I got to be a part of their day. We have so many photos to share from this outdoor maternity session!

Orlando Executive Airport Surprise Proposal | Airplane Engagement Session | Winter Park Orlando Engagement photographer

8/11/2018

I'm absolutely ecstatic to share this love story! Leo contacted me with sufficient time before the engagement session and he shared his plans. Carla is not a huge fan of flying, but Leo wanted to take her on a flight and then trick Carla by telling her something was wrong and he needed her to read the emergency protocol line by line. And guess what the last line said, “Will you marry me”? I thought it was the most brilliant and creative idea.  Of course plans are just plans until they come to fruition and the mission is successful. We planned to do the session on Saturday morning, and we met on Friday to discuss our ideas at the Orlando Executive Airport. We went upstairs into Sheltair and saw the gorgeous view and Carla was also there but she had no clue it was going to be a proposal. She thought we were just going to have a photo session at the airport.

Later that evening, Leo text me and asked, "Will you be available tonight"? I’m thinking….why are you flying? Well, I was born ready! I was eager to make an appearance at the Orlando Executive airport after they took off and I waited for them by the runway. He later told me that Carla thought an evening shoot would be so much more romantic than a daytime session. And that is why we had the short notice. Excited to share a sneek-peek of these two!

Its been an absolutely amazing month! We've been all over Central Florida capturing memories from engagements, weddings to baby showers! This gorgeous baby shower was for Serenity. Serenity & Co. Breakfast served at the Rosen Clarion Inn in honor of the mommy and father to be, Victoria and Billy. All the guests were dressed fashionably for the big event. The tables were decorated with Tiffany Blue gift boxes and big white bows. Big diamonds were scattered on the tables. The baby shower was meticulously decorated with white chair covers and silver sashes. The candy table was full of goodies and custom candies.

Excited to share a sneak peek of the baby shower and maternity session at the Rosen Clarion Inn.

Its so great to see Jessica and Chris again! The last time I saw these two was during a hurricane. We captured their Dreamy Walt Disney Wedding themed portraits at Paradise Cove complete with a horse and carriage. The Wedding theme was gorgeous with the red and gold foliage to represent fall colors. We then had a reception at the Grand Floridian. It was definitely a busy and memorable day for these two.

Now they're happily married with a plus 1! Baby Daniel is on the way! We planned for an outdoor session because we absolutely love Florida's humidity :) Jessica wanted a session that had greenery and Florida's gorgeous Oak Trees.

The weather was amazing and we had a blast with the maternity photos. We also incorporated funny photos just for Chris! We enjoy capturing the love, happiness, and joy these two share for one another. Maternity sessions are sentimental because I get to capture memories they can look back on.

Nona pHotography Studio grand opening | mills 50 pHoto stUdio | orlando portrait family photographer

6/17/2018

This past weekend we celebrated our Studio Grand Opening! We’ve been capturing memories and having sessions in studio, and it was about time we mark the calendar for an official opening date!

We we had several dates offered for families to come in for a mini session and receive an 8”x10” matted print. On June 10, 2018 it was one of the busier days and the theme was sliver, white and black.

This studio space was acquired early this year and it had white walls and vibrant green carpet. With some thought, we selected a lazy gray from Sherwin Williams for the wall colors and shortly after painted a blue accent wall. There was a vision for the space, however all plans change over time and we made choices to adapt to the space.
